Heidelberg positions itself in a new way.
Rooms of the future that will make history.
For some time now, the international conference world eagerly followed the progress of the construction of the Heidelberg Congress Center.
On Monday, 30 May 2022, the end of the structural work was celebrated with a traditional topping-out ceremony at the Heidelberg Congress Center (HCC) by the Bau- und Servicegesellschaft mbh Heidelberg (BSG), with project partners, craftsmen and guests in the impressive Hall 1. The approximately 300 invited guests and interested visitors were able to see for themselves what light-flooded, open rooms and clear lines of modern architecture look like.
As a renowned city of science, Heidelberg can establish itself worldwide as a congress city with the new Heidelberg Congress Center. This future-oriented venue will become a place of creativity and togetherness not only for the business enterprises of the metropolitan region, but also internationally. That is why Heidelberg Congress is positioning itself broadly and offers expertise in many areas: from physical and hybrid to purely virtual events, from content development and social media to complete community building.
Two special greetings reached the guests present at the topping-out ceremony from IMEX Chairman Ray Bloom and GCB Managing Director Matthias Schultze, who are looking forward to the planned opening in September 2023.
